What is the difference between the Spirit and Ghost?

I think~~ that the Spirit refers to the Holy Spirit of God that created the heavens and the earth and all that is in it. I believe the Spirit is benevolent and willing to help mankind survive this test in time so that overall, those who believe will enter into the next realm when the present form of this world passes away.

I think~~ ghost[s] represent malevolence, masked to deceive by any means imaginable, to bring about destruction and death ultimately. I dont believe any ghosts are good and that they can only channel to deceive and mislead. They may tell you the truth 99 times out of a 100 to get you to accept and believe in them, even bestow hidden knowledge of things to give a false sense of power, but in the end, they want one thing only, your destruction~

Every day we have a choice- choose whom we will serve....light /dark...good/evil.....right/wrong ... selfish/selfless and so on. There is no discharge from the war, nor will wickedness deliver those who are given to it!... Everyone gets 'paid' according to their deeds [works]...some to eternal life , some to eternal damnation...

Continually making the right or light choices will lead to eternal life.Continually making the wrong choices will lead to a harsh eternity with no good in it...some call that hell, but it is actually what the evildoers want, a place that all the rules have been broken at and no one is ever satisfied...

I am a little puzzled by the question? I have never thought about it but then I have never seen a ghost. At least not the way most people think a ghost to be.

I know spirits are among us but I prefer to think of them as Angels. I remember an incident involving a wet road, a narrow bridge, and a big truck on a very dark moonless night. I still can not explain how but one minute I was being forced toward the guard rail and the next moment I was past the bridge unharmed. I might not have believed it happened myself, but a friend was with me in the car. She looked as puzzled as I did as I stopped on the side of the road. We were both trembling and silent amazed we were alive and unharmed.

I remember saying "miracle" at the exact moment she said "the angels saved us". The is no other explanation, we should have ran into that guardrail and crashed through it or bounced back into the truck. Every time I cross that bridge I realize an Angel saved my life that night.

This is our definition of the differences between a ghost and a spirit.

A ghost is someone who has passed on and is "stuck" between the physical world and the Afterlife. They do not cross through The Light to go on to the Afterlife, but stick around in this "netherworld" for one reason or another.

A spirit is a person who has passed on, but has actually gone through The Light and into the Afterlife. There they go through a life review learning process, and after that, are able to come and go between the Afterlife and our physical world.

Spirits come back to watch over us, and to comfort us. Ghosts do not.

I think we are all spirits dressed in human skin. I believe that ghosts are just a trick of the mind. Our spirits never die but I don't believe in ghosts walking the earth. I can say that when I meditate I can reach a state where I feel lighter than my body. My human form is just that a vessel to house my spirit.

I do so like the fantasy of it all, ghosts I mean. Shows like ghost whisperer and medium are really cool, but fiction. Perhaps there are earthbound spirits but I have never seen one.

A Spirit is a soul that lives inside us (mankind). It is what transends onward toward what people call the heaven of afterlife, where it continues to live and grow with God. A Ghost on the other hand is a soul that is earth bound (stuck on earth) and is unwilling to move on. It has many reasons it can be earthbound but that is another question with a very long answer. This is my belief system and I do not impose it on anyone else.

I believe there are reasons for everything that happens to us in life and we do not necessarily have to understand the why's of those things. If indeed there are Ghost's there is a reason why such beings are earthbound and able to be seen by some, heard by some. ect. There are some people who hear Voices (Schizophrenics) I believe personally that they are hearing actual beings stuck in between worlds or perhaps another dementions. Then there are psychic's who have the ability to see these things and I believe most people believe the psychic as opposed to the schizophrenic. Who's to say that either one is wrong. I think whatever it is, is a part of Gods light and those which have the sight are blessed if they use their gift to help mankind. This is just my belief system and I don't expect anyone to believe what I do. I accept all religions because I believe they are all put on this world for God's purposes.
